An established, Midwest-based transportation company has partnered with us to identify a Director of Human Resources to join their leadership team. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that will work closely with executive leadership to shape and execute HR strategy across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of strategic thinking and day-to-day execution, with a proven ability to support a diverse workforce in a dynamic, operations-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on all HR-related matters
  • Lead and manage all core HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compliance
  • Develop and implement HR policies and programs that support business objectives
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture across a diverse employee population
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a human resources leadership role
  • Experience in a mid-sized organization; transportation or logistics industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success supporting a diverse workforce
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
