Position Title: lntermodal Operations Manager

Our client, is a successful 3PL provider that is looking to grow their intermodal division.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Direct relevant experience negotiating contracts with rail & dray carriers
- Solid understanding of North American intermodal transport; railways, lanes, rules & regulations
- Familiarity with cross border rail & road transport; customs, rules, regulations
- Ability to problem solve and create solutions for clients that include rail and road where there is a benefit
- Communicates effectively and appropriately. Speaks and writes in a clear and credible manner. Uses good judgment as to what to communicate to whom as well as the best way to get that accomplished. Actively listens to others. Must be able to clearly communicate with customers, co-workers and carriers.
- Detail-oriented. Ability to focus on and organize multiple providers to create a seamless to the client service
- Strong time management and self-management skills. This role may be a remote work situation and the successful candidate must be a self-starter that can work to achieve a defined set of goals and achieve KPI’s working independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Minimum 5+ years Intermodal transportation experience, preferably at a non-asset-based logistics company or IMC
- College / University Diploma in a related field is an asset.
